The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is seeking a Digital Community Associate to handle and be responsible for strengthening and engaging GAIN’S online presence through our digital channels. This position is open to GAIN’s country offices in New Delhi, India or London, United Kingdom.

The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is a Swiss-based foundation launched at the UN in 2002 to tackle the human suffering caused by malnutrition. Working with both governments and businesses, we aim to transform food systems so that they deliver more nutritious food for all people. In particular, we aim to make healthier food choices more desirable, more available, and more affordable. GAIN’s mission is to advance nutrition outcomes by improving consumption of nutritious and safe food for all people, especially the most vulnerable to malnutrition.
About the Role
Reporting to the Digital Communications Manager, you will require a sound understanding of creating content, engaging with the online narrative and internal communications to grow the GAIN community inside and out.
The Digital Community Associate will lead the GAIN Communications team in social media and digital campaign planning, coordination, and implementation, as well as general communications support for the team when needed. You will coordinate and work with other focal points in other countries and programmes and lead on internal communication matters.
Key Responsibilities include;
- Leading implementation across all active channels to maintain and grow strong social media presence
- Advising to the digital communications team on drafting social media content and uploading content on the GAIN website and social media platforms
- Ensuring the Head of Communications and the team have a good overview of the status of our digital channels and ensure KPIs are trackable and reached
- Coordinating and leading creation of an internal and external newsletter to facilitate community awareness of activities
- Contributing to internal community engagement and interacting and building relationships
- Reviewing and coordinating the production of branded materials, such as fact sheets, infographics, brochures, reports, etc.
- Responsible for the running of the podcast, including coordination of all end-to-end production
- Coordinating global and country communications team to include, social media support, digital support, writing content etc.
About You
The ideal candidate should have proven experience in communication roles, preferable with links to social media, branding, marketing, journalism, public relations or related areas. You should have the ability to work collaboratively with a team and within a multicultural organisation. Proficiency in English, working knowledge of French and additional languages would be an asset.
The postholder should be Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Programmes (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) to create visual content and solid understanding of social media and digital channels.
You should have excellent creativity and writing skills and ability to prioritise appropriately.
About our Offer
The starting salary for each office is as follows , depending on experience:
1) India: From INR 1,014,641 – INR 1,160,663 per annum
2) United Kingdom: From GBP 38,172 – GBP 40,904 per annum
