Salary: circa £32,000 per annum (plus Inner London Weighting £3,344 where applicable)

You’ll be passionate about all things Digital and have experience of developing and collaborating on audience-centred, inspiring and informative content on a variety of websites, blogs, and microsites.

What you will be doing…

You will ensure that our website content for Community Education pages is created in the most engaging, accessible format. Prioritising user need, analytics, data and search engine optimisation (SEO) trends, you will optimise pages, identify gaps and make recommendations for the creation of new content that either helps people in crisis or engages our supporters.

You will work closely with colleagues in the Web content Team and take a data-driven, user-centred approach to content. You will focus on user needs and optimise content, in whatever form it may take, to fulfil that need. You will use data and research to measure and iterate that content.

What we are looking for…

To succeed in the role, you will have a solid background in developing inspiring and engaging user centred content and have a strong digital storytelling background. We are looking for someone who has in-depth knowledge of SEO best practise and techniques, demonstrable knowledge of UX principles and web accessibility, as well as experience across content management systems.

You will be a great content writer, utilising best practice digital techniques and you will also be adept at training colleagues across the organisation on best practice principles.

Used to working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, you will also have proven experience of working with Google Analytics and take a data driven approach to content, constantly looking to improve performance, updating teams on what’s working and where we can optimise.

We are looking for a self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, and collaborative approach, to dr ive the best content. You will be skilled at working alongside multiple stakeholders, with a keen eye for detail. You will also be able to prioritise, taking and completing jobs from a live backlog across the site.

Meet the team…

The role of Digital Content Editor is part of the Community Education Product team. The service vision is ‘to provide lifesaving and life-changing education that builds personal and community resilience’. The product team, work with local communities to create, develop and promote the education, the education available to all, but targeted to individuals and communities where risk is high, and the resource is low. The Digital content editor will work closely with the Strategy and Communications directorate which tells the stories about who we are, what we do, what we believe, and the difference we make to people’s lives – so that both externally and internally people act, behave, or make decisions in a way that results in a positive change for people in crisis.

The closing date for this role is midnight on the 24th November, with Interviews taking place on the 6th December.
