Background/IRC Summary:

This position will sit within the Marketing Technology department, working closely with the IRC’s External Relations team. Marketing Technology is responsible for the supporter management platforms (CRM, website, email marketing, donation platforms) that power the External Relations department. Comprised of Private fundraising, Communications and Advocacy, the External Relations department is at the beginning stages of creating a new radical and ambitious strategy that will improve IRC’s ability to ‘punch above its weight’ in private income, advocacy and brand awareness, enabling the organization to have the resources needed to continue serving over 20 million people worldwide, shape the humanitarian sector by influencing key policies and reforms and build and grow IRC’s reputation.
Job Overview / Summary (What and Why):
This is a newly crafted position on the Marketing Technology Team. This role will be focused on the specific fundraising technology needs of new and growing markets. The Digital Fundraising Product Manager role calls for someone who can lead all aspects of the IRC’s digital fundraising platforms, including implementation, development and maintenance of key roadmap projects. Daily, this person will directly run fundraising platforms; coordinate development projects for digital fundraising, and drive the delivery of platform feature upgrades on an international scale. This person should be highly proficient at operating and driving execution in product development. They is data driven, excels at web development, troubleshooting and analytical thinking. They will coordinate CRM integrations on the platform side and directly implement the launch/transition of new markets’ fundraising platforms. They will work closely with platform Developer(s).
Major Responsibilities:
Product Management, Global Market Fundraising Platforms
- Acts as the primary go-to for new and emerging market Digital Fundraising in Sweden, Germany, South Korea and beyond.
- Partners with existing Fundraising Product Managers and Specialists to share and reapply best practices worldwide.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams (Marketers, Vendors, Design/Content, Developers) to ensure development projects are delivered on deadline and with high quality.
- Designs digital fundraising platform development projects in roadmap, project timelines, supervises progress, troubleshoots issues and removes roadblocks.
- Coordinates deliverables across internal and external teams. Collaborates on platform/CRM integration, implementation and testing.
- Handles fundraising platform relationships with vendors in partnership with Global Donation Operations.
- Establishes key relationships at different levels across the organisation to define new features and product needs.
- Excellent social skills, works closely with multiple clients, including donor services to ensure the platforms are crafted and developed to fit donor needs.
- Ensures that the visual design of fundraising platforms support project goals and is consistent with organisational brand and accessibility guidelines.
- Supports data quality within products to ensure data integrity.

Job Qualifications:
Education:
Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree or related course work
Preferred: Coursework in Computer/Information Science or equivalent work experience
Work Experience:
Product Management, Project Management, Digital Fundraising platforms, Design/Development or equivalent
Required:
- 5+ years of demonstrated ability managing digital fundraising and/or e-commerce platforms.
- Solid understanding of project coordination tools and processes (such as Jira/Monday.com).
- Business sense: understand client and donor needs, solution oriented, results that drive revenue growth
- Experience in web analytics and tracking web important metrics using Google Analytics or similar.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Developed organisation and interpersonal problem-solving abilities, exceptional project management ability and understanding standard digital methodologies
- High degree of comfort with technology.
Preferred:
- Experience launching international markets on fundraising platforms from a technical standpoint
- Experience in implementing market specific payment flows across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia
- Specific experience migrating regular givers/sustainers across platforms
- Extensive knowledge of key areas of web development: user experience design, usability, search engine optimisation, accessibility
- Experience coordinating Web QA and cross-browser testing including mobile.
- Experience evaluating visual design.
- Proficient in generating and applying business insights to improve platforms

This position is fully remote. The post holder will be required to travel to 3-5 times per year for in-person time with team and learning development opportunities.
