Director for Partnerships – Honduras Building Climate Resilience Activity At Tetra Tech

Tetra Tech International Development Services (http://www.tetratech.com/intdev) improve water resources management to foster growth and resilience in key sectors of the economy, such as agriculture and tourism, and to sustain basic services such as domestic water usage, 2) conserve critical ecosystems through engagement with the private sector, civil society, and national, regional, and local governments, and 3) manage climate risk by increasing disaster preparedness and strengthening Honduran systems to cope with extreme weather events.

Position Summary:

This candidate will provide the technical leadership for private sector engagement, as well as alliance-building efforts with the Government of Honduras, international organizations, and other donors and non-governmental organizations. This is expected to be a long-term position.

Responsibilities:

* Design and implement engagement strategies with a wide range of stakeholders including government, private sector, and non-governmental organizations;

* Liaise with the Government of Honduras in alliance-building efforts and increasing domestic resource mobilization efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Master’s degree (or a Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience) in a relevant discipline such as, Marketing, Finance, Business Administration or another related field;

* A minimum of eight (8) years of experience managing programs related to natural resources management, domestic resource mobilization, and/or private sector engagement;

* Demonstrated knowledge of natural resources management programming, especially as it pertains to forming alliances and mobilizing domestic resources and government commitments;

* Prior experience working on development programs in Honduras or within the Central American context strongly preferred;

* Excellent oral and written communication skills;

* Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish- Level III Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) scale.
