Ghana Somubi Dwumadie (Ghana Participation Programme) is a four-year disability programme in Ghana, with a specific focus on mental health. This programme is funded with UK aid from the UK government. It is managed by Options Health and Inclusion Ghana LBG.

Position

Options seek a part-time Disability Accessibility Officer to support a team member to overcome daily barriers connected to mental health conditions or neurodiversity.

Working under the day-to-day supervision of the Communications Manager (Ghana), with matrix management support from the Deputy Team Leader and MEL Advisor, the Disability Accessibility Officer will be responsible for providing support to our Communications manager to overcome daily barriers connected to mental health conditions or neurodiversity.

You will assist with planning and organising activities, as well as some basic communication tasks as directed by the communications manager such as social media communications.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate will have:

  • Professional qualification in Social work or Mental health
  • Proven ability to work with people with disabilities, including people with mental health conditions
  • Basic experience in using editing and creative tools like photoshop express, canva, adobe spark or any equivalent tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • High level of attention to detail
