DISABILITY INCLUSION FACILITATOR (1 post)
Save the Children International is inviting applications from suitably qualified personnel to fill the position of Disability Inclusion Facilitator for the youth empowerment project. The Purpose of this role is to mainstream disability inclusion) across the YE project interventions, and conduct targeted disability inclusion interventions in line with the project design. The role holder will work closely with the other project facilitators (Economic Empowerment, SRH, and MEAL) to ensure that the needs of youth with disabilities are understood and addressed, so that they participate in and benefit equally from. The role holder will report to the project manager for Youth empowerment.
In order to be successful you will bring/have:
- Minimum of 3 years working experience in Disability inclusion or mainstreaming role
- Bachelor’s degree level in relevant subject or Diploma level plus equivalent field experience
- The capacity and willingness to be extremely flexible and accommodating in difficult and hardworking circumstances.
- Ability to write clear project reports (narrative) as well as updates
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to take quality photos and videos to be shared with donors
- Strong passion for working with adolescents.
- Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy
- Commitment to the aims and principles of SCI. In particular, a good understanding of the SCI mandate and child focus and an ability to ensure this continues to underpin our support
