Driver – Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz State ( Nationals Only ) – 2 Positions At Norwegian Refugee Council

one. Objective

This is a rewarding opportunity to join our team at NRC Mexico, we are looking for Drivers at Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz State, who will be responsible for carrying the assigned vehicle and transporting NRC personnel, visitors, documents and materials to designated destinations when they are officially approved, ensuring the safety and protection of the organization’s people and property.

2. Main responsibilities

Driving

  1. Drive the vehicle assigned for the transfer of NRC personnel, visitors, documents and materials to destinations designated by the fleet supervisor or administrator.
  2. Accompany NRC missions in cities where NRC projects are implemented.

Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance Assigned

  1. Support the registration of vehicle maintenance in accordance with the guidelines of the logistics formats and the Fleet administrator.
  2. Be responsible for the vehicle that will be assigned to you within the transfer of assets at your expense. Evidence through the formats of the Logistics Manual, deliveries, revisions, failures, etc., and keep a record of fuel loads and maintenance.
  3. Keep vehicle inventory and designated communication tools and equipment updated
  4. Respond for the loading and unloading of the materials it carries, in order to avoid any damage or deterioration of the materials, as well as the vehicles.

Security

  1. Maintain fluid communication with the safety area of your movements according to HSS requirements.
  2. Act according to the NRC’s logistics and safety guidelines regarding the handling of situations such as accidents, breakdowns or security incidents.
  3. Keep your training updated in the NRC Safety Standards and in those that you require to carry out your work, in the same way, meet the security requirements of the Staff designated by the NRC accordingly.
  4. Coordinate and carry out logistics activities in the organization of missions and make security reports during travel.

Administrative responsibilities

  1. Keep the route logbook ( logbook ) and fuel from the assigned vehicle and send the report with the respective supports to the Fleet Administrator no later than 30 of each month.
  2. Issue reports of the vehicle fleet.
  3. Carry out document messaging and procedures, including other procedures with suppliers and payment of supplies, when required in your office.

3. Professional Competences

Indispensable:

  • Education: Title of Full Middle Education or Mechanical Academic Training
  • Minimum three ( 3 ) years of experience verified in a similar liability
  • Current Driving License
  • Ability to drive ATVs ( 4×4 ) in mountainous regions.
  • Knowledge of the context in the geographical area of work.
  • Proven knowledge about current traffic and transport rules and regulations.
  • Work experience as a driver in humanitarian aid contexts.
  • Previous work experience in complex and changing contexts

Desirable

  • Have some experience in carrying out logistical and administrative procedures
  • Basic knowledge of mechanics or vehicle maintenance.
