Focus on the Communication Service

The Communication Department is made up of 8 people. The mission of its members is to develop the reputation and image of Première Urgence Internationale among the general public, to raise funds to give the structure greater responsiveness in the event of an emergency, and to contribute to the attractiveness of Première Urgence Internationale among qualified human resources.

And what about the Editorial Communication and Media Relations Intern in all this?

As an Editorial Communication and Media Relations Intern, you will assist the Communication department under the supervision of the Public Relations Officer.
You will participate in relations with French and international journalists, you will ensure media monitoring and you will write press releases and kits. Your role will also be to contribute to the production of editorial content (online and offline media) including the writing of articles, slideshows, large formats, videos. You will participate in the layout of print tools, the creation of graphic media, video post-production, and will support the organization of events: management of invitations and registrations, relations with service providers, logistics, monitoring/reporting, etc. You will also support the department in writing meeting minutes (in French and English) and participate in the life of the association.

What you’ll need to land this internship

  • An Agreement issued by your training organization: As such, you can provide proof of a higher diploma, level Bac+4 in press attaché courses, in communication, journalism, international relations or political science.
  • Experience: Experience working in a team, in an association environment and/or internationally will be valued.
  • Skills: You have very good writing and project management skills. Are you proficient in computer tools for graphic and video creation (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Publisher, Adobe Première) and CMS such as WordPress? This would be a major asset.
  • Required skills: You have a proven interest in the International Solidarity sector and knowledge of the French and international media landscape. You demonstrate autonomy, curiosity and creativity. You demonstrate good interpersonal and adaptation skills, rigor, good stress and priority management.
  • Languages: Do you know French and English like the back of your hand? Great, they are two essential languages ​​for this position! Fluency in Spanish and/or Arabic would be a plus.

PUI will offer you

  • Gratuity: €4.90/hour
  • Support: Support of up to 50% of the transport ticket and up to 60% of the Restaurant Tickets (with a face value of €10)
  • Rest : 1 RTT per month (37 hours/week)
