Educational Awareness Officer – Morocco At seafarer

Résumé

Seefar is looking for four experienced educational outreach workers fluent in French and Arabic for an educational awareness campaign in Morocco on the risks and realities of irregular migration. The campaign will target students, teachers and parents of children aged 13 to 18.

For this role you will need:

  • demonstrated experience working with young people and teachers in Morocco,
  • a thematic experience and a keen interest in irregular migration.

Experience in film production and content design is an advantage.

You must be :

  • able to work independently.
  • based in Morocco and able to travel daily in your region.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week).

Contract duration: 12 months, with an estimated start date of April 24, 2024.

Contract currency: EUR

An excellent candidate

To excel in this role, you will have the following experience and abilities:

  • Be based in the regions of Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma or L’Oriental (in Nador or Oudja).
  • Have the ability to travel within their region.
  • Have an undergraduate degree.
  • Have 5 years of experience working with young people and teachers.
  • Preferable experience in film production and content design.
  • Have excellent computer skills and access to the Internet. Experience with Google Suite would be an advantage.
  • Have a perfect command of written and spoken French and Arabic. English is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Here are the main responsibilities of the position:

  • Search and map schools in your area.
  • Forge partnerships with selected schools.
  • Support young people to develop 6 short films.
  • Assist in the design and development of the educational outreach program.
  • Select and train teachers within each selected school.
  • Organize classroom sessions in each selected school.
  • Provide guidance and motivation to teachers and schools.
  • Perform administrative and financial tasks as needed.
  • Engage and build strong relationships with local stakeholders.
  • Provide information on the local context.
  • Translate tools and other short documents into French or Arabic.
  • Represent and demonstrate Seefar values.

You must confirm that you meet these minimum requirements:
Be based in the Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma or L’Oriental regions (in Nador or Oudja).
