Here’s where you come in:

As a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Manager in a response, you will ensure that programmes/projects meet World Vision’s quality standards for monitoring, accountability, evaluation and learning. You will oversee the systematic collection and analysis of objectively verifiable evidence to monitor the Response’s progress toward meeting the objectives of the Response strategy and results framework. You will ensure the setup of functional mechanisms and systems for monitoring and evaluation, humanitarian accountability, learning, and quality assurance including required protocols and guidelines. You will also lead the quality reviews of MEAL processes and products and provide timely feedback to key stakeholders.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences/Development Management/International Development/Statistics or relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of MEAL experience, especially in emergency contexts and with grant-funded projects, is critical, and including at least 2 years management experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with a mix of home country and international experience in humanitarian responses within complex, fragile and conflict-related contexts.
  • Two years of international experience outside of your home country/local assignment.
  • Experience coordinating MEAL functions at the national level for an INGO covering some of the following sectors / thematic areas is critical: Health, WASH, Cash and Voucher Assistance, Food Security & Livelihoods, Shelter, Education, and Child Protection.
  • Effective written and verbal communication in English. Other UN languages such as French, Arabic, Spanish, and Portuguese, are preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required on short notice.
