In the DRK General Secretariat in Berlin, you will help shape the future direction of the DRK eV as the national Red Cross Society and leading association of the voluntary welfare sector. Every day, you will contribute to ensuring that people in Germany and around the world receive help – solely according to their level of need.
Employee in the Tariff Office (m/f/d)
For the office of the Federal Tariff Association (BTG) in the German Red Cross, which is located in the legal department of the German Red Cross General Secretariat, we are now looking for you as an employee in the tariff office (m/f/d).
The employment is full-time (39 hours/week) and is initially limited to one year.
Your tasks:
As an employee of the tariff office, you are responsible for the following tasks:
- You will prepare collective bargaining negotiations professionally and accompany them together with the head of the collective bargaining office.
- They advise the members of the BTG on fundamental questions of collective bargaining policy and clarify individual legal queries.
- They analyse the case law on the DRK collective agreement, which applies directly to around 40,000 employees in the DRK, as well as to adjacent collective bargaining areas.
- They hold seminars and conferences on labor and collective bargaining law.
- You are responsible for co-organizing the tariff office and for member support in cooperation with the head of the tariff office.
The position offered also includes, to a lesser extent, tasks incumbent upon the legal department in the DRK General Secretariat from association, statute and contract law as follows:
- They advise the member associations of the DRK eV on the implementation of the legal basis of the DRK, in particular the model statutes and the GmbH model partnership agreements and model foundation statutes, as well as the specialist teams/federal management of the Red Cross communities in disciplinary and complaint procedures, including the legal representation of the specialist teams/federal management before the Federal Arbitration Court.
- They prepare circulars and information for the member associations of the DRK eV and their subordinate divisions.
- Review of internal contract matters.
We expect:
- You have successfully completed the first and second state law examinations, ideally with at least a satisfactory grade or an equivalent qualification (LLM)
- Based on your professional experience, you can demonstrate in-depth knowledge in the field of collective bargaining law and, if possible, also association or corporate law.
- You have a strong command of the English language, both written and spoken, in order to be able to handle club and association-related tasks with regard to the international relations of the DRK eV.
- You are familiar with federal and voluntary structures.
- You have strong argumentation and communication skills as well as a high degree of independence, the ability to work in a team and a goal-oriented, proactive and independent way of working.
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is an advantage.
In-depth knowledge of the regulations of the DRK collective agreement or the TVöD as well as experience in conducting collective bargaining are decisive plus points for your application for the advertised position!
