Empowered Youth Technician
With intervention in Panzós, Alta Verapaz
The minimum requirements include:
- University studies in Social Work, Psychology or other careers related to the development sector.
- 3-5 years of experience in implementing actions focused on youth development. Preferably, with Municipal Offices for Children, Adolescents and Youth and/or with NGOs in Youth Programs.
- Experience in community organization, especially in the formation of youth networks and in the implementation of actions to strengthen capacities in context analysis, formulation of proposals, and advocacy to participate in decision-making spaces at the municipal level.
- Experience in developing situation studies at the territorial level and preparing technical proposals to contribute to the search for investment opportunities in programs in favor of youth.
- Experience in the implementation of the financial inclusion methodology (Savings and Loans Groups).
- Experience in implementing information and communication campaigns with impact.
- Demonstrated ability in developing alliances, coordination and resource mobilization with the different actors involved in programmatic implementation.
- Solid knowledge of community development principles, rights-based approach, especially respect for principles of participation, inclusion, gender, diversity and responsibility.
- Mastery of the Q’eqchí language, essential.
- Knowledge of mobile technologies for collecting information (phones, tablets), essential.
- Skill and command of Office packages (Word, Excel, Power Point), use of email, internet, Google Drive.
- Valid license to drive a two-wheeled vehicle.
- Availability to remain in the municipality of intervention of the Project. Preferably, reside there.
Main functions include:
- Implement programmatic actions, ensuring effective communication internally and externally to the Organization with the actors who will be present in the same geographic areas and spaces of participation.
- Manage effectively with the Municipal Offices for Children, Adolescents and Youth; as well as with the institutions related to the topic to coordinate strategies.
- Guarantee the logistics and quality control of the work carried out in the field.
