With a focus on innovation and social enterprise, the initiative has been working to improve access to energy as part of Pact’s integrated approach to development. We collaborate with governments, companies, investors and other civil society organizations to connect supply and demand for energy, remove market distortions and work toward a future in which all people have the skills and resources they need to enjoy the many benefits of modern energy. The initiative sits within our Environment and Energy program as part of an integrated approach to climate adaptation, resilience, and mitigation.

The purpose of the Energy Officer position is to support the growth of energy-related aspects of the Environment and Energy program by developing project proposals, engaging with existing and potential donors, and producing written materials for both internal and external audiences. • Coordinate with the Integrated Communications team in Washington, D.C. and with the country offices to produce collateral materials for external audiences.
  • Productively partner and collaborate with Pact departments, including other Programs and Program Operations teams, business development, financial planning and analysis, accounting, and human resources to ensure that portfolio-wide support is given when and where necessary, and build strong internal professional relationships with members of these units
