Identification of opportunities and thematic monitoring
- Participates in monitoring activities in the cluster’s areas of intervention (in particular through feedback obtained in the environment of current projects);
- Participates in promotion and prospecting activities with experts, donors and other partners;
- Contributes to thematic animation and knowledge management.
Project development
- Develops projects (theory of change, logical framework, activities, format and organization of the team, intervention methods, etc.) in consultation with partners;
- Develops the project budget and leads negotiations with donors and partners;
- Analyzes the issues and provides thematic expertise
- Prepares the contractualization with the lessor and partners and service providers
- Contributes to the recruitment of the project team and its installation.
Implementation of the qualitative and quantitative objectives of a project or program while respecting the constraints set
- Supports the management of projects by ensuring technical coordination, support for the implementation of actions, coordination of expert(s) and relations with partners and service providers in connection with project teams in the field;
- In conjunction with the project teams, contributes to the operational financial management and technical and financial reporting of projects to donors according to the procedures in force, supports or manages logistical support;
- Ensures visibility and communication activities on the project,
- Ensures internal reporting and good circulation of information and maintains good collaborative relationships with the embassy services of the countries concerned, international and national partners as well as local authorities.
Capitalization process
- Participates in the promotion of feedback and the dissemination of good practices (writing fact sheets, sharing experience, etc.);
- Participates in work aimed at functional and technical improvement of the establishment’s offering.

Desired profile
- Holder of a master’s degree in economics, management, finance, international development or equivalent;
- Proven knowledge of themes related to private sector development, entrepreneurship and innovation;
- At least 8 years of significant experience in the development sector, including at least 5 years in the design and management of international projects on economic subjects;
- Knowledge of the challenges of private sector development in Africa and business financing would be appreciated;
- Knowledge of the environment and the challenges of international cooperation as well as international donors (procedures, modes of operation) and open-mindedness and interest in international relations;
- Previous field experience is an asset;
- Ability to write and communicate in English;
- Sense of interpersonal skills and teamwork;
- Responsiveness and ability to organize tasks under time constraints;
- Availability for travel abroad (particularly in Africa).
The remuneration for this position consists of an annual package including the following benefits:
- A 13th month paid monthly and effective upon taking up the position.
- A variable portion of 3% of the annual gross salary
- More than 45 days of annual leave, with the possibility of monetizing up to 10 days of RTT per year.
