Salary: Up to £41,500 per annum (dependent on experience) plus company car (plus Inner London Weighting if applicable)

About this opportunity

We are recruiting for 3 Estates Surveyors who will each be responsible for the direct management of one region of the British Red Cross property portfolio, instructing and managing agency surveyors and solicitors acting on all acquisitions and disposals in the region as well as negotiating all rent reviews, lease renewals and lease re-gears directly with landlords or their appointed surveyors.
Reportin g to the Head of Estates, you will be the lead contact for all Estates matters within your region, seeking to minimise costs and maximise returns across your area of the property portfolio and provide input to the property strategy process including site specific insight into the regional properties and market data.
You will lead the search for suitable properties to match any requirements agreed with UK Operations or Retail and lead the disposal of any property designated as surplus to requirements, appointing and instructing agents and solicitors and negotiating directly with landlords where appropriate, liaising with internal stakeholders throughout the process.
In this largely autonomous role, you will act as the first point of expert advice to internal and external stakeholders, for all estates related matters in respect of your regional properties, collaborating closely with the Facilities Management and Building Surveying teams who make up the wider Property Department.

This role might be for you if…
You’re an experienced, qualified Surveyor (MRICS) with demonstrable post-qualification estate management experience of a multi-site portfolio.
You have exper ience of Landlord and Tenant Law with a good working knowledge of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and the ability to directly negotiate property and lease transactions and instruct appointed solicitors on lease negotiations.
You have the ability to manage and prioritise the workload and transactions across a multi-site portfolio while negotiating with all levels of external stakeholders including landlords, professional appointed surveyors and solicitors.
You are a dynamic yet adaptable individual, with the drive and determination to maximise efficiency in your regional property portfolio.
