Executive Director of Finance & Admin At GAME

GAME is an innovative Top 150 NGO founded in 2002 with an ambitious vision of a world with equal opportunities for all children and youth. We are now looking for an analytical and result-driven finance professional with solid experience from a management position in the INGO sector. GAME has in recent years experienced a significant scaling of the activities both at home and abroad. This development and the associated increase in complexity of managing an expanding portfolio of programs and projects has prompted the need and sparked a process to strengthen our finance function. We are now taking the next step by hiring an Executive Director of Finance & Admin who will become part of the Executive Management Team at HQ.

ABOUT THE POSITION
In this new position in GAME, you will:

  • Lead GAME’s Finance & Admin Team
  • Be part of the Executive Management Team
  • Ensure the strengthening of GAME’s financial management capabilities in terms of human capacities, the structure of the support function, as well as internal procedures and guidelines
  • Drive the continuous improvement of the Finance & Admin function by identifying future needs to stay ahead of the curve
  • Help the organization realize it’s ambitious strategy of deepening the impact by consolidating in three robust geographical regions
  • Use GAME HQ in Copenhagen as your workplace with travel activity to countries where GAME implements
  • Have reference to the CEO

WE EXPECT YOU

  • Have a master’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Have at least 10 years of experience from a finance position in an INGO and at least 5 as manager
  • Find it enticing to take on a leadership role across the organization
  • Are experienced with larger grants from the Danish MFA and/or the EC and working with a complex project portfolio
  • Have an ability to build cross-cutting relations and network inside GAME to become viewed as a knowledgeable go-to resource
  • Are flexible to travel (less than 30 days per year expected)
  • Have experience revising and updating financial procedures incl. common framework for budgeting, forecasting, controlling, and reporting
  • Are an independent person with strong analytical and coordination skills
  • Have an incredibly well-organized and pragmatic approach
