Expert Procurement* At Welthungerhilfe

The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an unlimited contract duration. Employment location will be Bonn or Berlin, Germany.

As Expert Procurement you will support purchasing processes within Welthungerhilfe and ensure that the procurement policy is adhered to and that purchasing processes are carried out efficiently.

Your responsibilities

  • Professional advice for colleagues in purchasing processes
  • Purchasing goods and services of all kinds and as required for internal clients
  • Independent commercial processing (obtaining offers, evaluation, extensive coordination with the respective client, awarding, quality control, invoicing, submission of invoices, documentation in SAP)
  • Continuation of supplier/service provider pools
  • Visits to suppliers and trade fairs to maintain relationships, check quality, expand knowledge and acquire suppliers
  • Consideration of sustainability criteria in the procurement process
  • Supporting colleagues in the procurement of goods and services, according to specifications and requirements
  • Projects in the context of digitalization

Your profile

  • A university or college degree or apprenticeship in a relevant field
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in purchasing or logistics
  • Experience with purchasing processes in the public sector/NGOs and procurement guidelines (UVgO, VgV, GWB) is an advantage
  • Experience with the commissioning and processing of service contracts is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills in working with colleagues, suppliers and service providers
  • Experience with digital tendering portals is an asset
  • SAP MM knowledge is an advantage
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills; French language skills are an advantage.
