Tetra Tech is striving to put gender equality, disability and social inclusion at the heart of our organisation and the front of all our work, with collaboration and local knowledge as the foundation. We recognise that Managing Contractors have not traditionally been the breeding ground for equitable collaboration in the past, so our first move was to develop a new strategic approach for our Gender Equality Disability and Social Inclusion Practice which is based on collaboration, learning and reflection and a commitment to anti-racism and shared leadership.
Next, we asked, what is the most important thing we can do to promote and facilitate women’s access to voice and agency, to deepen their engagement in decision-making and leadership, to free their families and communities of violence, and to support transformative change in their countries? The answer?
ASK THEM
We are seeking to hear from ALL types of organisations and individuals in ALL parts of the Pacific who seek to promote the well-being of ALL types of women and girls, their families and communities.
Whether you are leading or learning, we want to work with you us as we start a journey of decolonisation, in the spirit of collaboration and learning. Through two-way learning we hope to be able to support Pacific Women attain their goals for their community and then create new ones and attain them as well.
Why work with a Managing Contractor?
Tetra Tech is a 20,000+ person international company, with the resources and the voice to government to support the raising of the voices of Pacific Women in defining their own future. We are willing to work with the right person or people to develop roles and relationships that work be that embedded in our team, as partner experts or as mentors and advisors – or other approaches we haven’t imagined yet. There are opportunities to help us uncover what a more collaborative and co-designed future looks like in specific projects and across our practice.
If you are interested in working with us, submit a two-page expression of interest outlining:
- What you would like to bring to evolving a collaborative approach, including bringing Pacific forms of change and knowledge
- Your experience so far and how we could support you in your career and leadership journey
- Your approach to mentoring and supporting others, and helping to build and share knowledge and skills in your own community and across the Pacific
