Partnerships for Infrastructure (P4I) is an Australian Government program that aims to contribute to the development of quality infrastructure that drives inclusive growth in Southeast Asia. P4I is led by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and implemented by a consortium comprising Ernst and Young, The Asia Foundation, Adam Smith International and Ninti One.
P4I is seeking an experienced Gender, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) professional with strong experience in program management to be based in its head office in Bangkok.
P4I provides advice to governments in Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Timor-Leste on infrastructure policy and investment decision-making, primarily in transport, energy and telecommunications sectors. One of P4I’s key objectives is to support governments in the region to increasingly embed gender equality and disability and social inclusion (including Indigenous inclusion) into their infrastructure decisions. To achieve this, P4I uses a twin-track approach that involves dedicated GEDSI activities and integrating GEDSI interventions into its broader program of work.
P4I has a GEDSI team based in Bangkok, supported by additional resources dedicated to specific program activities. P4I intends to expand the team by recruiting a GEDSI professional with proven experience in program management. The ideal candidate will have considerable experience working on GEDSI issues in a development assistance context (ideally on DFAT programs), with experience in Southeast Asia. Understanding of key GEDSI issues in infrastructure development, infrastructure policy, and governance would be beneficial.
This role will involve a combination of providing substantive advice on GEDSI programming and analytical work, and undertaking program management (e.g. coordinating development of activity pipelines, managing workplans, progress reporting, coordinating resource allocation across the P4I consortium, preparing briefings, contributing to knowledge pieces, etc).
This is a full-time position in Bangkok, although there may be some flexibility for the right candidate.
How to apply
If you meet these criteria and are interested in working on GEDSI issues on a flagship regional program, please provide a CV and a short covering letter to recruitment@partnershipsforinfrastructure.org by Friday 18th November 2022.
