Education Development Trust is interested in bidding for a 3 year FCDO funded education project in Uganda, Foundational Learning for Girls (FLAG). The programme is designed to help children in the early grades improve literacy and numeracy skills, stay in school, and learn more effectively. It is based on a Community Led Learning approach that provides essential learning skills for children, including those who are not in school, improves school attendance, and provides evidence of effective learning approaches. More children will be able to benefit from improved learning outcomes in Ugandan primary schools.
We are interested in receiving applications from individuals, both Ugandan and international, with relevant expertise who are keen to continue the work of creating a stronger, more sustainable national education system in Uganda.
We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals who have demonstrable senior expertise in low resource settings in Uganda or Sub-Saharan Africa in any of the following disciplines:
- Programme leadership and delivery
- Accelerated learning
- Out of School Children Learning Interventions
- Community Led Learning approach
- Teacher professional development, including teacher training and coaching/mentoring
- Teacher motivation
- Assessment of learning and teaching
- Child protection, safeguarding and inclusion
- Monitoring, Evaluation and Accountability
- Education Finance
- ICT in Education
