Field TPM Coordinator – Ukraine (Long-term Contract) At Conflict Management Consulting

  1. THE COMPANY

Conflict Management Consulting ((click on the “Apply now” button)) provides services in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), research and technical assistance in fragile, conflict and post-conflict areas. We work for international organisations, governments and civil society, deploying multi-national and highly specialised teams of experts. Our in-house staff and global network of consultants have provided services to clients in the thematic fields of stabilisation, peacebuilding, migration, humanitarian action and governance, focusing on the humanitarian-development nexus, as well as expertise on violent extremism (VE).

  1. THE JOB

CMC is currently preparing an offer for an assignment for Third Party Monitoring (TPM) services in Ukraine, under the United States Agency for International Development(USAID)/Ukraine Monitoring and Learning Support Contract (UMLS).

The TPM focus on key areas of implementation within Ukraine, on two thematic areas: Energy and Health.

The main objectives of TPM are:

  • Verifying Implementing Partner (IP) reports regarding inputs and/or outputs;
  • Collecting beneficiary feedback;
  • Analysis and triangulation of data;
  • Tracking broader political, social, and economic context; and,
  • Responding to special requests (e.g. assessment of conflict).

The position is full time, and is expected to be based out of Kyiv or Lviv, with travel to project sites for verification inside Ukraine.

The initial timeline for the TPM is 12 months.

  1. TASKS

The Field TPM Coordinator is responsible for monitoring mobilization and overall data quality control, including planning monitor training, piloting, data entry, data cleaning, and schedules. The Field Coordinator will oversee monitors while deployed and implement daily check-ins with monitors.

  1. QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will cover all or most of the below criteria.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social studies, research methods or related field.
  • Fluency in English and Ukrainian is essential.
  • Minimum 3-year experience in training field monitors on data collection and research methods or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4-year experience in monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, and reporting of humanitarian interventions or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in using technology and software (Excel, SPSS, KOBO, ODK, etc.)
  • Experience mobilising and coordinating teams on the ground and with logistical management of projects is desirable.
  • Extensive understanding of the local context in Ukraine.
  • Must be based in Ukraine.
