OUR ORGANIZATION
Present in Canada and in 74 countries, Médecins du Monde is an independent, international, voluntary movement that works at home and abroad. Through innovative health programs and evidence-based advocacy, we empower marginalized people and communities to take action and claim their right to health while fighting for universal access to care.
Present in Haiti since 1996, Médecins du Monde works in partnership with national and local stakeholders and manages to build a bridge between communities and health institutions to improve access to care. This involvement helps support the health system in caring for pregnant women and malnourished children, in addressing problems related to women’s sexual and reproductive health, and in improving mental health.
