Finance and Operations Officer-Lebanon At Tearfund

We are looking for an experienced Finance & Operations Officer to join Tearfund’s team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Eurasia & North Africa (ENA) Region. The Finance & Operations Officer, in coordination and cooperation with the ENA regional staff is responsible for providing finance, operations and administrative support to Tearfund’s programming in Lebanon and Yemen. They will ensure that the Lebanon and Yemen country finances and accounts are up to date and meet legislative requirements. The Finance & Operations Officer will also ensure that operational approaches in Lebanon are effective and in line with organisational procedures and standards – including in, office management, logistics and security. The Finance and Operations Officer will report directly to the country director.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Diploma in Business Administration and/or financial management or equivalent
  • Three year work experience for a business or NGO in finance, admin and operational department
  • Experience of external representation and engagement with stakeholders of different levels including liaising with government authorities in Lebanon
  • Worked with accounting, and Finance Policies & Procedures
  • Managing cash books and paying petty transactions experience
  • Work experience in insecure environment and desirable work as security focal point
  • Very good organisational and scheduling skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Able to handle and guard confidential information sensitively and discretely
  • Good IT skills in: Microsoft Office, Database management and Advanced Excel skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written Arabic
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills
