Job Title: Finance Controller

Reports to: Finance manager

Place of work: Turkey / Gaziantep

Roles and Responsibilities:

Improving financial capacity

§ Managing and building capacity on financial .

§ Reviewing MOUs and grants contracts.

§ Responsibility for ensuring compliance with donors and regulatory bodies.

§ Provide support to human resources on personnel and staff issues which have financial implications.

§ Any other duties as mutually agreed with the CEO and Finance Manager.

Donor finance

· Ensure cost allocations basis among donors are reasonable in line with AMAL allocation methodology.

· Review financial reporting to donors and other regulatory bodies, review the financial sections of donor proposals, budgets and reports.

· Review AMAL annual and quarterly rolling budgets.

· Monitor and assist program managers with the financial management of program budgets including expenditure forecasting, and ensuring the Budget Monitoring Tool (BMT) is completed in a timely manner.

Financial Management

· Prepare monthly management accounts.

· Ensure proper financial systems.

· Ensure compliance with standard accounting procedures and policies, In particular ensure appropriate cash management procedures are in place and operating effectively.

· Ensure preparation and retention of documentation to facilitate the annual external audit, donor audits, internal audits and revenue audits.

· Review monthly and quarterly donor status reporting.

· Oversee all cash management, including cash counts and cash transfers to field sites.

Skills and Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field

· Report Writing skills

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint

· Past experience with local / international NGOs

· Fluency in English and Turkish (spoken and written)

· Management and communication skills

· Time management

· Negotiation and problem solving skills.
