CONTEXT :
The mission of the Finance Department is to contribute to the good management of the association by guaranteeing the quality and reliability of financial information, the security of flows and the efficiency of financial processes.
JOB OBJECTIVES:
You manage a financing portfolio for several programs, with variable involvement depending on the autonomy of the programs (implementation, support or control by sampling). Your main missions are divided into three parts:
PART 1: Management of funding and partners
- Financial management of financing contracts :
- Proposals and contracts: Contribution to budgets, administrative management of requests, negotiation and validation of financing contracts.
- Financial tracking: Tracking expenses, adjustments, controlling consumption rates, and managing budget allocations.
- Financial Reporting: Planning, drafting and archiving financial reports in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Donor audits: Support for the production of financial statements, responses to auditors, and monitoring of field audits.
- Information system: Updating contracts and verifying consistency between internal data and financial reports.
- Financial monitoring of partners :
- Analysis of the financial capacities of the partners.
- Control of partners’ expenses and accounting compliance.
PART 2: Closing and closing of accounts
- Production of summary statements for accounting closures, including allocation calculations, risk control and account monitoring (cut-off and necessary adjustments).
PART 3: Support and assistance for field financial teams
- Training, technical support and capacity building for financial teams.
- Field control and support missions, including the use of management tools such as Navision.
- Participation in briefings, debriefings and evaluations related to financial aspects.
REQUIRED PROFILE:
- You have 2 years of experience in finance, management control or experience in an NGO in a financial coordination position in the field
- You know the rules of the donors (ECHO, EU, OFDA, UNICEF, etc.).
- You demonstrate proven writing and communication skills (writing financial reports, etc.), in both French and English.
- You are recognized for your ability to work in an intercultural environment and to demonstrate flexibility, responsiveness, proactivity, as well as to work under pressure.
- Experience in emergency contexts is a plus.
ACCESSIBILITY OF THE WORKPLACE:
The premises are easily accessible by public transport (bus, metro). A car park and a bicycle park are also available. Within the building, access ramps and elevators guarantee better circulation. All workstations are located in Open Space but boxes are available on each floor to work in peace if necessary. The workspace is very bright.
