Reversing Environmental Degradation in Africa and Asia (REDAA) is a £35m granting programme which aims to catalyse research, innovation and action in Africa and Asia to help people and nature thrive together.
Green Economy Coalition (GEC) is a network of organisations working to create structural reform to secure green and fair economies. We have established nine green economy hubs to build support for and influence reform in Brazil, India, Mongolia, Peru, Senegal, South Africa, Uganda, the UK and the Caribbean region.
Generating Ambition for Locally Led Adaptation (LLA) is a EUR15m partnership between the government of Netherlands, IIED and eight implementing partners across five years. It supports the implementation of the LLA strategy to deliver real and sustained change, protecting the people and places threatened by the interconnected climate, nature and inequality crises.
We are now looking for a Finance Manager to join our Operations team on a full-time basis for a two year fixed-term contract, working 35 hours per week.

The Role
As a Finance Manager, you will manage the finances of three major programmes: Reversing Environmental Degradation in Africa and Asia, Green Economy Coalition, and Generating Ambition for Locally Led Adaptation.
Leading on all financial matters relating to these programmes, you will ensure sound management practices for budgets, as well as effective accounting and reporting systems in alignment with international best practice and donor requirements.
Acting as a link between the programmes and the Finance Team, you will ensure a high quality of support is provided and SOPs are implemented.
Additionally, you will:
– Work with Grant Managers, Projects Managers and Programme Managers to track funding
– Review funding proposals and donor financial reports
– Support Programme Managers with staffing for all three programmes
– Prepare financial reports and claims for all three programmes
– Facilitate audits and any donor reviews
About You
To be considered as our Finance Manager, you will need:
– Substantial experience in a similar financial management role for government-funded programmes
– International stakeholder engagement experience
– In-depth knowledge of financial management techniques and tools appropriate to international organisations
– Knowledge and interest of climate change and sustainable development issues
– Extensive knowledge of a range of donor financial procedures
– Fluent English communication skills
– Full membership of a recognised professional accountancy body
– A degree, or equivalent work experience
