ABOUT THE ROLE

Join our team as a Finance Manager, specializing in accounting and financial reporting. In this role, you’ll support our international financial processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Based in our vibrant Berlin office, you’ll report to the CFO and collaborate closely with colleagues in our Finance & People team to enhance our financial operations. YOUR TASKS

  • Contribute to the creation of monthly and annual financial statements, support payroll accounting, and liaise with external tax advisors and auditors
  • Handle daily accounting tasks, including banking and accounts receivable/payable
  • Ensure smooth multi-currency payment processing across our German and UK based entities and assist cash flow management to optimize liquidity and financial resources
  • Support our Fundraising and Impact Teams with necessary documents and reports for funding applications and financial reports
  • Analyse financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making and business planning processes
  • Contribute to constant improvement of all processes in our growing organisation and stay updated on accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance

YOUR PROFILE

  • Completed studies (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent vocational training (e.g., Industriekaufmann/-frau or certified accountant (IHK))
  • Relevant experience through internships, working student positions, or up to two years of professional work in business administration with a focus on financial accounting
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially in MS Excel, and familiar with financial payment systems (e.g. Wise, Starmoney) and accounting software (e.g., DATEV, Unternehmen Online)
  • Detail-oriented, trustworthy, and reliable
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask
  • C1 in German with good English skills
