Finance officer (Turkish national only & fluent in English and Arabic) at International Association for Relief and Development

International Association for Relief and Development (Onsur) is a non-governmental organization registered in Turkey N° (27-018-178) dealing with the Relief and development projects through the empowerment of local communities to ensure a decent life, Founded at the beginning of 2012. ONSUR works through the main office is located in Gaziantep’s province Turkey, in addition to execution offices in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, and Turkey.

JOB SUMMARY

supporting the finance and accounting teams, and responsible for providing to, payroll, reconciliations, accounts
payable & receivable, assisting in the production of financial reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Day-to-day bookkeeping into (cash and bankbooks), in accordance with the accountancy and budgetary framework.
  • Ensure proper recording and allocation of entries.
  • Ensure records are up to date.
  • Controlling the budgets, and all relevant costs to the projects under his/her direct supervision.
  • Ensuring that all policies, SOPs, and procedures are respected when the activities are implemented.
  • Prepare donor financial reports and special purpose financial reports.
  • Prepare budget modifications as per the inputs from program managers.
  • Manage the project bank account and undertake banking transactions and funds transfer requests, including the management of petty cash, petty cash, and bank account reconciliation and the preparation of a monthly field voucher.
  • Provides substantive support/advice and guidance to other departments regarding financial policies and procedures when needed.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or institute degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • High computer skills, especially Excel, in addition, he/she has a good background about the accounting systems.
  • Relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a capacity to think and act strategically.
  • Excellent attention to detail and data entry skills.
  • Highly developed verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Experience in preparing budgets and financial reports.
