CONTEXT :
The mission of the Finance Department is to contribute to the good management of the association by guaranteeing the quality and reliability of financial information, the security of flows and the efficiency of financial processes.
You contribute to this mission by providing management information and relevant activity analysis, by contributing to the development of the financial strategy and multi-year planning.
You are also required to contribute to cross-functional issues within the Finance Department and particularly to improving internal control and risk management in your area of responsibility.
JOB OBJECTIVES:
Reporting to the Head of the Financial Control Programs & Technical Departments division, you work in close collaboration with the geographic or technical director.
More specifically, you will be responsible for the following missions:
- Contribute to the development of the multi-year financial strategy, lead the development of the department’s budgets and financing plans, ensuring compliance with the budgetary reference framework (tools, structure, etc.); provide the financial tools necessary for medium-term planning and monitor it.
- Consolidate, analyze & control the financial information produced to make it available to all HI contacts. Support and advise contacts in the financial management of their activities, by setting up, among other things, financial indicators (KPI), identifying risks, recommending areas for improvement and making data reliable.
- Participate in the general optimization of financial processes & tools, in risk management and internal control within its scope
- For geographic departments: contribute to the development of the organization of programs and the definition of positions in the field. Provide technical advice on field personnel during recruitment and evaluations
- For technical departments: ensure the financial and administrative management of contracts in compliance with “lessor” standards and contractual obligations.
REQUIRED PROFILE:
- You have 5 years of experience in an NGO in a financial coordination position in the field or a similar position
- You have mastered accounting and financial processes, as well as the synthesis and analysis of financial data.
- You know how to detect malfunctions, resolve problems and propose improvement plans with a view to simplification
- You like working in a team as well as independently
- You speak French fluently and can work in English (level B2)
ACCESSIBILITY OF THE WORKPLACE:
The premises are easily accessible by public transport (bus, metro). A car park and a bicycle park are also available. Within the building, access ramps and elevators guarantee better circulation. All workstations are located in Open Space but boxes are available on each floor to work in peace if necessary. The workspace is very bright.
