Doctors of the World, a militant medical association for international solidarity, has been committed for 40 years to caring for the most vulnerable populations here and abroad, to bearing witness to the barriers identified regarding access to health care and to obtaining sustainable improvements in health policies for all.
As an independent association, we act beyond healthcare, denouncing violations of dignity and human rights and working to improve the situation of populations in precarious situations.

Your main responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the General Coordinator, you are responsible for planning, centralizing, coordinating and supervising the financial management and administration of the mission (budget, accounting, treasury, reporting, funders, local audits, legal financial and administrative obligations, etc.) within the framework of the deadlines, policies, procedures and requirements of both MdM and the Colombian legal framework, leading a team and/or supporting one or more collaborators. You have a functional link with the CGF and the mission accountant at headquarters.
Additionally, it provides technical support to operations staff and field teams on the financial management of the mission.
You are directly responsible for 4 people in the central office in Bogota and technically supervise the financial part of 5 administrative officers at the bases.
Required profile
- Higher education in management or accounting
- 4 years’ experience (at least 1 year’s experience in the international association field as an administrator)
- Significant similar experience in donor management
- Advanced mastery of a land accounting software program (SAGA)
- Excel: mastery of advanced functions, pivot tables…
- PowerPoint, Word, etc.
- Spanish proficiency: working language in the office
- Mandatory command of written and oral English or French
- You share the values and activism of Doctors of the World.
Conditions of employment
- Start date: as soon as possible
- Contract duration: 12 months
- The position will be based in Bogota, Colombia. It may include occasional travel to the regions where we carry out project activities at a national level.
- Salary: 3,306 euros gross monthly salary for 13 months
- Expatriation bonus (10% gross salary per month)
- Transportation costs, vaccinations and visas covered
- 22.5 recovery days per year
- 5 weeks of annual vacation
- Health insurance (60% covered by MdM and 40% by the employee)
