As part of the Production Department, this position will be responsible for ensuring implementation capacity with frequent travel and direct field work. It covers gaps and ensures direct field support to projects and programmes throughout the project cycle: a) identification, b) planning, c) implementation, d) monitoring and e) evaluation. He/she may also carry out internal evaluations and participate in context assessments. You will participate in initiatives to capitalise and disseminate good practices at field team level, promoting good practices in both management and technical approaches.
The main activities you will carry out are as follows:
- Oversees, often in the field, that all projects integrate planning, execution and management tools throughout the project cycle for good monitoring and consolidation of data at project and contract level.
- It provides support throughout the project cycle from the identification and design phase, to planning, execution, monitoring and closure. Ensuring the coherence and technical quality of projects and programmes.
- Covers gaps and ensures direct field support to projects and programmes throughout the project cycle.
- Provides technical knowledge to field teams and ensures the application of protocols and methodologies according to their technical competence.
- Identifies technical development needs and implementation issues. Together with the rest of the production team, participates in the planning, measurement and monitoring of operations.
- Participates in the modelling of interventions, technical development and updating of training modules. Identifies good practices and lessons learned and participates in the processes of identifying the training needs of the teams they supervise and in the selection, briefing and debriefing of project managers and other technical profiles as required.
- He maintains direct communication with the heads of the Technical Departments, alerting them to weaknesses in our methodologies, the need for new technical developments and the identification of barriers to the scaling of intervention modalities.

- Technical profiles (engineering, rural development, environment ….) or other relevant profile. Postgraduate degree in a discipline related to humanitarian action and international cooperation.
- Experience in intervention definition and proposal development Strong capacity in project planning and implementation Practical sense in the application of project cycle management Strong experience in providing technical support to field teams, intuition and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum 4 years previous experience, including field project implementation experience. Familiar with international quality standards. Sphere, Core Humanitarian Standards….
- Knowledge of Development Cooperation and Emergency Response.
- Specific knowledge of cash based interventions desirable Familiar with donor convening processes.
- Experience as Project Manager and in direct implementation of projects at field level Proven ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Spanish and English essential. French desirable.
