Mission

The ABU and CRAC are looking for a person to complete the ABU team. In collaboration with the head of the ABU unit, the person develops, implements, and supervises prevention and training activities in MSF missions and contributes to building an MSF environment free from abuse and inappropriate behavior.
Main responsibilities
His/her responsibilities will include in particular :
· The organization, implementation and supervision of prevention and training activities, on responsible behaviour, in OCG missions.
· The design, development, and adaptation of trainings (face to face and online) and other prevention tools.
· The contribution to ensuring the relevance of the training deployment strategy according to field needs and means and propositions to adapt this strategy accordingly.
· The development and implementation of approaches to prevent abuse and inappropriate behaviour towards patient and its protection, in collaboration with different actors and taking into consideration the work of other operational centres on this subject.
· the monitoring of the objectives set for the prevention and detection of abuse, both at the unit and field level.
Organise, implement, and supervise prevention and training activities, on responsible behaviour, in OCG missions
· Plan field visits according to: Action plans (ABU – cells – L&D – OCG); Field needs; CRAC recommendations.
· Implement prevention and training activities in missions, on responsible behaviour (awareness of responsible behaviour; training of trainers for the facilitation of awareness sessions; workshop on sexual harassment; workshop on identification and analysis of risks of abuse and inappropriate behaviour; training in welcoming complainants; training in case management; patient-specific awareness or workshop; staff training in prevention and patient protection, etc.).
· Establish an annual calendar of awareness raising to be carried out by behaviour promoters and ensure validation by the hierarchical line.
· Ensure regular remote monitoring of these activities and of behaviour promoters.
· Update the database of the behaviour promoters and trained staff in OCG missions and communicate any changes to the ABU Coordinator (end of contract, dismissal, change of position, etc.).
Design, develop and adapt training (face-to-face and online) and other prevention tools
· Develop new training / workshops / debates according to IPOB priorities and field needs (BLM, discrimination, abuse of power, psychological harassment) and makes sure to avoid duplication with other initiatives at OCG or in other sections.
· Organise the review of training content and methodologies based on lessons learned from experience.
· Ensure the availability of training according to field needs (translation, editing, etc.).
· Develop OCG’s expertise on behavioural issues in collaboration with ABU and its namesakes in other regions.
Contribute to developing and ensuring the relevance of the training deployment strategy according to field needs and means and propose adaptations of this strategy accordingly
· Under the responsibility of the ABU unit, work to involve other actors and other departments in the delivery of transversal training on responsible behaviour.
Develop and implement the approach to prevent abuse and inappropriate behaviour towards patient and their protection, in collaboration with different actors and taking into consideration the work of other OCs on the subject
· Work in conjunction with the patient / caretaker / community agent-leader / local associations and MSF staff and to identify, understand and analyse all issues that may be relevant for the development of the prevention approach and the protection of patients/carer against abuse and inappropriate behaviour.
Regularly monitors the activities, actions and results of the prevention and training component of all missions
· Ensure that post-visit recommendations and planned prevention and training activities are implemented.
· Gather information on progress and obstacles of planned activities, the results achieved and analyse this information against the set objectives.
· Participate in the analysis and drafting of PoAs and the Unit’s annual report.
Your Profile
Education
· University (social sciences, social work, anthropology …).
Experience
· 2 years of MSF field experience are essential, including 1 year in the implementation and supervision of activities, in project mode.
· 5 years of field experience, including MSF, in related fields replaces a university degree.
· Demonstrated experiences in the design of educational and adult training tools.
· Local or regional coordination of prevention activities on sensitive or health promotion themes is a plus.
Languages
· English, French (essential).
· Arabic is a plus.
· Knowledge of another mission language where MSF Swiss operates is an asset.
Professional competences
· Pedagogy, training, social communication (coaching, mentoring, group facilitation, etc.).
· Community needs assessment, capable of managing discussion groups and conducting workshops.
· Organisation and anticipation.
· Project cycle (design, implementation, communication, monitoring, supervision, reporting …).

Terms of Employment
· Field-based position with visits to HQ in Geneva.
· Practical working conditions while in the field are as per the MSF OCG volunteer handbook.
· Fixed-term contract of 12 months with an occupancy of 100%
· Ideal starting date: 3rd of January 2022.
· Gross monthly salary: CHF 5’500.- for 100% position (proportional to occupancy rate)
· Social Benefits: Health insurance and living costs in the countries of intervention and at HQ, paid according to internal regulations.
