JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled individual to serve as a Focal Point in Damascus. The ideal candidate will have a medical background and excellent English language skills. The role focuses on supporting coordination efforts, evaluating the medical situation in Damascus, engaging with health authorities, directorates, and community organizations, as well as preparing necessary documentation and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordination and Communication:

  • Collaborate with health authorities, directorates, and relevant stakeholders to address medical needs and concerns.
  • Act as a liaison between community charities, volunteers, and local organizations to ensure effective communication and support.

Medical Situation Evaluation:

  • Assess and analyze the current medical situation in Damascus.
  • Prepare detailed evaluations and reports to guide decision-making and interventions.

Community Engagement:

  • Build and maintain connections with community charities, volunteers, and local leaders to foster collaboration.
  • Provide support to community initiatives and activities related to healthcare.

Administrative and Preparatory Tasks:

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of registration forms, reports, and other relevant documentation.
  • Organize and participate in meetings, ensuring proper follow-up and documentation.

Support in Strategic Planning:

  • Provide insights and recommendations for addressing medical challenges in Damascus.
  • Participate in planning sessions with stakeholders to develop effective healthcare solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Background:

  • A degree in Medicine, Public Health, or a related medical field is required
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is mandatory; knowledge of Arabic is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in coordination, healthcare, or community engagement roles is desirable.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, networking, and organizational skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and report-writing.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel within Damascus for meetings and community engagements as needed.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical and professional standards in all interactions.
