THE OPPORTUNITY
The Food Safety Officer will be located in Lechería, Edo. Anzoátegui. You will be responsible for participating and supervising the gathering of information related to preliminary assessments for the detection of needs of vulnerable households ( which may consist of interviews or telephone surveys and/or focus groups ) to be carried out in the project communities. Participate in the planning, execution, and supervision of food kit distributions for vulnerable households in project communities. It will plan the activities of the food security component in conjunction with local partners, under the supervision of coordination.
To be successful you must comply with the following:
- Graduated in Economics, Social Sciences, Sociology, Administration or related careers.
- Experience in humanitarian and / or development programs in the food security or livelihood sectors.
- Inter-institutional and inter-agency coordination capacities ( diplomacy ).
- Knowledge of the public, private context and international cooperation in Venezuela.
- Experience in supporting humanitarian preparedness, response and recovery.
- Leadership skills and team management.
- Abilities in preparing documents and reports.
- Proactivity, motivation, organization and strong communication skills. Ability to work under pressure.
- Flexibility, adaptability and availability to move in the identification areas, also in the interior of the country.
- Management of computer tools ( Microsoft Windows operating system ) and office automation ( Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook ).
- Information management and database.
