Context
Reporting to the field coordinator and in functional contact with the program coordinator, the SAME AFD project manager ensures the implementation and monitoring of project activities, in accordance with the project description, SIF procedures and those of AFD. He/she ensures the quality of interventions and coordinates activities in the field. He/she supervises the staff under his/her responsibility on a daily basis (depending on the configuration of the project). He/she works closely with the support services and teams of other projects:
The main missions will be as follows (non-exhaustive and evolving list):
- Participate in defining the technical and operational strategy of the project, in coordination with the stakeholders
- Ensure the effective implementation of the project in compliance with the logical framework, the budget, internal procedures and AFD procedures
- Participate in defining human resources needs and managing the recruitment of project teams, in collaboration with base managers and coordinators
- Ensure that the project’s logistical needs are met according to SIF and AFD procedures
- Ensure smooth and constructive communication with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the project
Profile
- Higher degree in Agronomy, Rural Economy, Development (Master, Bachelor or equivalent) required
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position, with proven expertise in food security and livelihoods if possible in an NGO
- Knowledge of institutional donors (PAM, AFD, etc.) and their procedures.
- Mastery of the humanitarian project cycle and its different stages, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, Learning, would be a plus.
- Management techniques, dynamism and ability to work in an intercultural environment
- Ability to analyze, synthesize and write well.
- Organizational rigor, autonomy, versatility, flexibility and sense of confidentiality.
- Proficiency in the Office suite and IT tools in general
- Fluent French required (written/oral).
Terms
- CDI project, full time
- Position to be filled from 02/17/2025
- Monthly gross salary range between Ariary 2,350,000 and Ariary 2,409,901
- Health insurance / partial contribution of the SIF to transport costs between home and work (bus costs)
