SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an association of’ international humanitarian aid which, for more than 40 years, has been providing relief to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by responding to the vital needs of, drinking, eating, s’abriter. Particularly engaged in the fight against diseases related to unhealthy’, the leading cause of death in the world, SI implements through its interventions an expertise in the field of’access to drinking’water,’sanitation and the promotion of hygiene but also in that, essential, of, food security and means of’. Present in more than twenty countries approximately, the teams of SI – 2000 people in total composed of’expatriates, national staffs, permanent at headquarters, etc,some volunteers..- intervene with professionalism and commitment in respect of cultures.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Main tasks of the internship :
Assist Referent advocacy in the implementation of advocacy activities e.g.: elaboration of’argumentaries, creation of’advocational tools, political analysis, drafting of positioning notes.
Participate in inter-NGO coordination meetings at French, European and international levels.
Collaborate in qualitative and quantitative research work based on data generated by programs and field teams,’interviews, literature reviews.
Provide methodological support to country offices.
Participate in reflections on the new 2026-2031 strategy.
Contribute to the synthesis and presentation of the results during the review of the activities.
According to the needs expressed by’e advocacy, it would be possible to’ be assigned for a short period to the’un of the geographical desks or to another direction in order to discover the functioning of other trades of the’humanitarian.
Main objectives of the internship :
Produce advocacy materials and contribute to dissemination strategies ;
With the advocacy referent, represent International Solidarity in external meetings and share messages and advocacy positioning ;
Coordinate advocacy activities with the other directorates of headquarters and the field teams ;
Contribute to strengthening strategic advocacy axes.
Main tasks :
Collect and analyze data to produce arguments ;
Writing plea papers in french and english ;
Organize and participate in internal and external meetings ;
Write minutes of meetings or webinars ;
To be a force of’initiative on proposals of’activities ;
Ensure humanitarian, geopolitical monitoring and monitoring of the’ news of countries and the’ humanitarian ecosystem ;
Keep the list of activities up to date and report on results during reporting exercises ;
Ensure the translation of various documents in English, French.
YOUR PROFILE
Higher education (bac level +5) preferably oriented towards the’humanitarian, political science, law or international relations ;
Real interest and motivation for the’associatif and the’humanitaire – Willingness to go on the ground in the short term ;
Adherence to humanitarian principles ;
Excellent writing, synthesis and’ spelling skills in French and English ;
Critical spirit and’analysis, rigor ;
Ability to work independently ;
IT : Windows (Word, Excel, power point) ; Internet and email (Outlook) ;
English fluent read, written and spoken.
IF YOU WILL OFFER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS
Internship based in the headquarters of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL in Clichy (92), metro Mairie de Clichy
Intern with compulsory internship agreement
Gratification : 4,90 euros/hour
The gratuity is calculated in proportion to the actual hours of attendance over the month. (Average 1 month = 154h, or 22 days of 7h/day)
Public transport supported at 50% by SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL
Tickets restaurant at 8,90 € /daily internship, with participation of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL at 60%
Contributions of the internship :
Acquire a first experience of advocacy and contribute to all stages of’ an advocacy strategy ;
Discover the functioning of the’une NGO headquarters as well as the relations between the headquarters and the field ;
Discover the different professions of International Solidarity at headquarters and in the field ;
Understand the humanitarian and geopolitical issues of the countries of’intervention ;
Understand the relationships between different humanitarian actors ;
Discover the process of strategic planning of’an NGO and the development of the’ strategy ;
Deepen the technical knowledge related to the’ intervention sectors of Solidarity International ;
Developing a professional network.
