JOB DESCRIPTION

The Desk Logistian joins the Red Desk team currently supporting work in South Sudan, Nigeria, Myanmar and Afghanistan. He/She works closely with his/her desk colleagues and the logistics teams at headquarters and in the field.

The Desk Logistician acts as a logistics referent and supports the installation and development of programs in the countries under his/her responsibility. He/she provides support to the desk units and control of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL’s missions. He/she participates in the activities of the logistics department and takes part in defining the association’s overall logistics strategy, ensuring its effective implementation on the missions.

You have field experience in a logistics position, you want to work at the headquarters of a dynamic association while maintaining a lot of interactions with the field, you like logistical and human challenges, you like collaborating with international teams, this position is made for you. You master Excel and English, you are rigorous, dynamic and creative, you will be able to meet the many challenges of this position.

FUNCTION :

Define, with the logistics coordinators, the logistics strategies of the missions, in line with the overall logistics strategy of the association and the humanitarian strategy of the mission
Provide technical support to the logistics teams in the field (purchasing and supply, electricity, inventory management, infrastructure management, vehicle fleet management, security, etc.)
Ensure the application of the logistics procedures of Solidarités International and/or donors, at headquarters and in the field
Supervise the budgetary sizing of projects and the integration of logistics components in project proposals
Supervise the sizing of the equipment fleet in the field and the renewal policy
Participate in the sizing of logistics teams in the field
Ensure the regular reporting of logistics reporting tools, determine indicators, and manage the missions
Participate in the recruitment of logistics positions in the field
Plan and carry out field visits to support, assist and train logisticians and logistics coordinators of the missions
Receive and process purchasing files from the field, for purchases made at headquarters and in the field, supervising the communication circuits linked to their validation

YOUR PROFILE

Training:

Minimum Bac + 2/3 level in humanitarian logistics (Bioforce type) or university Masters (awareness of humanitarian and/or logistics would be appreciated)

Experience :

At least 3 years of field experience in NGOs, particularly in logistics and coordination positions. Additional experience at the headquarters of an NGO would be an additional asset
Analytical and organizational skills, priority management
Good information management and good communication skills
Essential mastery of IT (Office Pack and O365)
Knowledge and mastery of LINK would be a plus
Technical specialization (mechanics, electricity, energy, transport, etc.) and an appetite for Information Systems would be an asset
Prior experience in one of the contexts covered by the Desk (South Sudan, Nigeria, Afghanistan and/or Myanmar) would be a plus

LANGUAGES :

French, English (very good level, reading, speaking and writing) required

IF YOU WILL OFFER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS

Permanent contract – Executive status
Position based at the headquarters of Solidarités International, in Clichy la Garenne (Mairie de Clichy metro station) with field trips
Possibility of teleworking: 4 or 12 days of teleworking per month or 100% teleworking with 3 days of mandatory face-to-face time per month (Monthly package paid for people in 100% TT)
Gross monthly salary: €3,183 or €3,316 according to the current salary scale
Leave: 2.0833 CP / month and 1 day of RTT / full month of work
Recovery days and medical coverage 100% covered during field trips
Mutual insurance (80%), meal vouchers (60%), Île de France transport tickets (50%) covered by the association
