France HR Officer At Relief International

We are currently recruiting a HR Officer to join our HR team.

This is a hybrid position, open to candidates based in France.

About the Opportunity.

The HR Officer will support the Global Support Office (GSO) HR Team with proactive and efficient administrative support, and work with the GSO HR Manager to provide a high quality onboarding process for new joiners. This will include administration of RI’s onboarding processes; checking and verifying due diligence in the hiring and contracting process; maintaining employee profiles and staff files and providing an ‘HR helpdesk’ service to GSO staff.

In addition, the HR Officer will apply their knowledge and experience of employment practices and regulations in France to support the full employee life cycle of staff employed by RI France, working closely with the Director of RI France and the Chief HR Officer.

Your responsibilities will be

  • Support with recruitment in France, advising on JDs, supporting translations, participating in interviews and engaging with job boards, agencies and networks as required.
  • Oversee the onboarding of French staff, and ensure relevant information is shared with French payroll providers.
  • Ensure all departing French staff are de-registered as required.
  • Manage the French office and relationship with landlord.
  • Provide administrative support to the Director of France.
  • Ensure employee data in the Human Resources Information system (HRIS) is up-to-date and accurate, and reflects any changes in employment status or contracts.

About You.

You will bring the following experience and skills.

  • Passionate HR Professional, with relevant HR experience in France.
  • Good knowledge of French labour law, HR practices and employment institutions.
  • Fluent French and English language skills.
  • Experience of working with HR information systems.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with superb attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with a dispersed workforce, and build professional relationships across cultures and time zones
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience working within the humanitarian or development sector desirable
  • Formal HR qualification or part-qualification desirable
  • Proficiency with MS Sharepoint desirable
