WHAT DO WE DO
SOLIDARITIES INTERNATIONAL ( SI ) is an international humanitarian aid association which, for more than 40 years, has been helping populations victims of armed conflict and natural disasters by meeting vital needs, drink, eat, take shelter. Particularly engaged in the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the leading cause of death in the world, SI implements, through its interventions, expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and the promotion of hygiene, but also in that, essential, food security and livelihood. Present in around twenty countries, the SI teams intervene with professionalism and commitment in respecting cultures.
DESCRIPTION OF THE POST
The Logistien.ne Desk joins the Desk Red team which is currently supporting the work of South Sudan, Nigeria, Myanmar and Afghanistan. He / She works in close collaboration with his desk colleagues and logistics teams at headquarters and in the field.
The Logistician.ne Desk acts as a logistics reference and supports the installation and development of programs in the countries under his responsibility. He / She provides support to the desk units and control of the missions of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL Il/It participates in the activities of the logistics service and takes part in the definition of the association’s overall logistics strategy, ensuring its effective implementation on the missions.
The missions of the ( Non-exhaustive list ) post :
Define, with the logistical coordinators, the logistical strategies of the missions, in coherence with the overall logistics strategy of the association and the humanitarian strategy of the mission
Provide technical support to logistics teams in the field ( purchases and supply, electricity, inventory management, infrastructure management, fleet management, security etc )
Ensure the application of the logistical procedures of International Solidarity and / or donors, at headquarters and in the field
Supervise the budgetary dimensioning of projects and the integration of logistics components in project proposals
Supervise the sizing of the equipment fleet in the field and the renewal policy
Participate in the sizing of logistics teams in the field
Ensure the regular upturn of logistics reporting tools, determine indicators, and pilot missions
Participate in the recruitment of logistical positions in the field
Plan and carry out field visits in support, support and training of mission logisticians and logistics coordinators
Receive and process purchase files from the field, for purchases made at headquarters and in the field, by supervising the communication circuits linked to their validation
YOUR PROFILE
You have field experience at a logistics station, you want to work at the headquarters of a dynamic association while keeping a lot of interactions with the field, you like logistical and human challenges, you like to collaborate with international teams, this position is made for you. You master Excel and English, you are rigorous, dynamic and creative, you will be able to meet the many challenges of this position.
Training and experience :
Bac level + 2/3 minimum in humanitarian logistics ( type Bioforce ) or University master ( awareness of humanitarian and / or logistics would be appreciated )
At least 3 years of field experience in NGOs, in particular logistics and in coordination posts. An additional experience at the headquarters of an NGO would be an additional asset
A previous experience on one of the contexts covered by Desk ( South Sudan, Nigeria, Afghanistan and / or Myanmar ) would be a plus
Skills :
Capacity for analysis and organization, management of priorities
Good information management and good communication skills
Essential master of IT ( Pack Office and O365 )
Knowledge and mastery of LINK would be a plus
Technical specialization ( mechanics, electricity, energy, transport, etc. ) and an appetite for Information Systems would be an asset
Languages :
French, English: very good level, read, spoken and written, required
IF YOU WILL OFFER THE FOLLOWING CONDITION
CDD contract 9 months from 20/11/2023_ Contract until August 19, 2024 _ Framework status
Post based at the headquarters of Solidarités International, in Clichy la Garenne ( Clichy Metro Town Hall ) with field trips
Possibility of telework: 4 or 12 days of Telework per month or 100% of telework with 3 days of mandatory face-to-face per month ( Monthly fee paid for people in 100% TT )
Monthly gross compensation: 3,093 € or 3,222 € depending on the salary scale in force
Leave: 2.0833 CP / month and 1 day of RTT / full month of work
Recovery days and medical cover 100% supported during field trips
Mutual ( 80% ), restaurant tickets ( 60% ), transport tickets Ile de France ( 50% ) supported by the association
