SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid association which, for more than 40 years, has provided relief to populations victims of armed conflicts and natural disasters by responding to vital needs, drinking, eating and shelter. Particularly committed to the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the leading cause of death in the world, SI implements through its interventions expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and promotion hygiene but also in the essential aspect of food security and means of existence. Present in around twenty countries, the SI teams operate with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures.

This position is at the heart of the department’s strategic thinking. You will have a complete vision of financial management and tools: from the financial management of the association at the macro level to the monitoring of the financial issues of the countries. You will have a major role in the link between the financial department and operations.

In close collaboration with the DAF, you will support the CODIR in the definition and calculation of indicators, risk monitoring (helping teams to better identify, quantify and manage financial and non-financial risks), reflections around the economic model of our organization and the development of financial data management tools.

Your team is made up of an operational management control representative, a head office management control officer and 6 operational management controllers.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Within the Administrative and Financial Department of Solidarités International, the head of the management control service is under the supervision of the administrative and financial director.

Strategy

  • Participates in defining the strategy of the DAF department.
  • With the participation of all Management Control teams, develops the action plan for the “management service” then ensures its implementation and monitoring.
  • Supports the CoDir in the choice and monitoring of indicators in order to monitor the financial health of the association.

Management and Human Resources

  • Recruits, supervises on a daily basis and monitors the performance of a head office management control officer and an Operational Management Controller Referent.
  • Supervises and leads the operational Management Control department (Desk Management Controller, Assistant Management Controller and Support Assistants) through a functional link

Headquarters and association management control:

  • Coordinates the preparation, analysis and publication of dashboards and reporting (monthly, annual, internal and external)
  • Supervises the budgetary monitoring of all costs of the association’s headquarters, supporting the various budgetary managers in their role and alerting Management in the event of a budget breakdown.
  • Contributes to the creation of annual tables (CROD) and the treasurer’s report (analysis of annual volumes and balance sheet)

Operational management control:

  • Guarantor of proper compliance with financial procedures in the field
  • Supervises the capitalization of donors’ financial guidelines.
  • Coordinates annual closing work related to the management of grant contracts, contract closing sheet, country closing sheet, passage of dedicated fund entries
  • Is required to represent the financial department at external meetings.

Indicators and information flows – headquarters and field:

He/she ensures the proper functioning and consistency of the association’s financial management tools and practices and provides transversal support, in conjunction with the IT and information system services, on all flows of information. information and indicators, more precisely he/she

  • Contributes to the definition and controls financial indicators
  • Contributes to the evolution of the tools used for the consolidation of field financial data, in conjunction with the Director of Operations and the DAF.
  • Is a finance referent for the implementation of information systems in the field (IS sourcing, IS operations monitoring, IS calculation of shared costs, IS HR, etc.). Participate with the head of the accounting department in discussions around accounting software used at headquarters and in the field.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Bac +3 training or higher, with a component in finance or management
  • Experience of at least 5 years in financial management and team management
  • Knowledge of the associative environment (constraints of the financing model, international environment, etc.) and field experience with an NGO will be a plus
  • Advanced mastery of Excel required, knowledge of VBA and SQL language is a plus
  • Perfect command of English and French (oral and written)
  • Strong reactivity and good resistance to stress
  • Experience in project management and change management
  • Rigor and analytical mind
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strength of proposal, autonomy and enthusiasm

IF WILL OFFER YOU THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS

  • Position based at the headquarters of Solidarités International, in Clichy la Garenne (Metro Mairie de Clichy) with field travel
  • Permanent contract – Framework status
  • Gross monthly remuneration of: €4,162 or €4,335 depending on the scale in effect at headquarters
  • Mutual insurance (80%), restaurant tickets (60%), transport tickets (50%) covered by the association
  • Possibility of teleworking: 4 or 12 days of teleworking per month or 100% teleworking with 3 days of mandatory face-to-face work per month (100% TT package paid monthly). In accordance with the Teleworking Charter in force and the manager.
  • Leave: 2.0833 CP/month and 1 day of RTT/full month of work
  • Recovery days and 100% medical coverage during field trips
