DESCRIPTION OF THE ASSOCIATION
La Chaîne de l’Espoir is an international NGO founded in 1994. Its mission is to strengthen health systems to give everyone, and in particular children, the same chances of survival and development. We operate in 28 countries with a global approach, focused on the child but also on mothers and disadvantaged communities.
- Prevention and screening from an early age, particularly within the framework of school health programs.

POSITION AND MISSIONS
Within the Operations Department and in functional link with the Medical Department, the Health Referent plays an essential role in the definition, implementation and supervision of La Chaîne de l’Espoir programs.
Country and Headquarters Health Strategy
- Technical support to field teams in the preparation and monitoring of exploratory missions
- Collaboration with field teams for the development of operational strategies and the setting up of projects, in line with the association’s overall strategy
- Identification and analysis of the medical needs of the countries of intervention in close collaboration with the medical management
Technical Support for Projects
- Providing technical support to program teams to guarantee the quality of medical programs
- Strategic support of field teams throughout the project cycle, including regular, exploration and emergency missions
- Supervision of the preparation and validation of medical orders, ensuring their relevance and consistency
Project Monitoring and Quality
- Issuing recommendations to ensure the quality of projects during regular remote monitoring and field visits
- Participation in the definition and development of the quality policy, with an update of the reference frameworks
- Contribution to the capitalization of medical activities, including the writing of reports and the proofreading of donor reports
Capacity Building
- Depending on needs, development and delivery of internal training or with our operational partners.
- Remote support for health program coordinators in managing their activities.
- Contribution to the development of job descriptions for medical and paramedical staff and carrying out technical professional assessment interviews for health coordinators, in conjunction with the Medical Directorate.
- Participate in the recruitment process for medical coordination positions and health program manager positions, carry out their briefings and debriefings
FORMATIONS ET EXPERIENCE
- Education: medical or paramedical training, public health diploma
- Experience: 3 years of experience in the international solidarity sector (field/headquarters)

- Fluent English essential
- Excellent writing skills in French and English
- Relationship skills, team spirit
- Strength of proposal, sense of initiative, autonomy

CONDITIONS
- Permanent contract, executive status
- Full-time position, based at the association’s headquarters in Paris 15th or relocated (with travel abroad)
- Start date: ASAP
- Mutual insurance covered at 80%
- Meal tickets worth 10.83 euros covered at 60%
- Transport subscription reimbursement of 50% (or sustainable mobility package)
- 23 days of annual RTT
- Teleworking charter: 3 days/week or 100% teleworking with minimum 4 days of mandatory presence at headquarters
- Proposed salary: 45.6k – 50.4k euros gross annually depending on profile and experience
