SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid association that, for over 40 years, has been providing
assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by meeting their vital needs: drinking, eating, and shelter. Particularly committed to combating diseases linked to unsafe water, the leading cause of death in the world, SI implements through its interventions expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and the promotion of hygiene, but also in the essential field of food security and livelihoods. Present in around twenty countries, SI teams – 2,000 people in total, made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at headquarters, a few volunteers, etc. – intervene with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Based at SI headquarters, within the Deputy Operations Directorate for Programs (DOAP) and under the authority of the Deputy Director for Programs, the Program Site Manager takes leadership on various projects/sites related to programs and their management at SI.

The “construction site” approach at SI is at the heart of how the headquarters operates, in order to evolve and adapt to a world and needs that are constantly changing.

Some projects are under the leadership of DOAP, while others are under the leadership of other departments (HR, Com, etc.) and require a contribution from DOAP.

The purpose of the Program Site Manager position is to advance some of these projects dynamically, by coordinating with the various contributors. This requires great communication and coordination skills, agility, organization and initiative.

YOUR PROFILE

Training

Master’s degree in international relations, development and humanitarian action, political science (or equivalent) and/or training as an agricultural engineer, hydraulic engineer (or equivalent)

Experience and technical skills

  • 4-5 years of experience in the humanitarian sector
  • 2 years of experience in a field position (programmatic or leadership)
  • Excellent human skills: communication, coordination, listening, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Good theoretical knowledge of programming
  • Ideally skills and experience in WASH and FSL
  • Good writing skills
  • Efficient and solution-oriented
  • Likes to take initiative

IF YOU WILL OFFER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS

  • Position based at the headquarters of Solidarités International, in Clichy la Garenne (Mairie de Clichy metro station) with travel to the field
  • 6-month fixed-term contract – Executive status
  • Gross monthly salary of: €3,183 or €3,316 (Level 6) depending on the scale in force at the head office
  • Possibility of teleworking: 4 or 12 days of teleworking per month or 100% teleworking with 3 days of mandatory face-to-face work per month. In accordance with the Teleworking Charter in force and the manager.
  • Leave: 2.0833 CP/month and 1 day of RTT/full month of work – OSS no RTT
  • Recovery days and 100% medical coverage during field trips
