WHAT DO WE DO …

SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL  (SI) is an international humanitarian aid association which, for more than 40 years, has provided
relief to populations victims of armed conflicts and natural disasters by responding to vital needs, drinking, eating and shelter. Particularly committed to the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the leading cause of death in the world, SI implements through its interventions expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and promotion hygiene but also in the essential aspect of food security and means of existence. Present in around twenty countries, the SI teams – 2,000 people in total made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at headquarters, a few volunteers, etc. – intervene with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The HR department of Solidarités International is currently fully engaged in a reorganization of its various services (Recruitment & Career Paths; HR Administration and National HR) which will be effective in a few months.

In this sense, during the first months of the position, the HR Manager will occupy the responsibilities of Head of the National HR department.

As such (non-exhaustive list):

  • She/He is in charge, with her team, of defining and ensuring the implementation of strategies, policies, frameworks and procedures for the management of human resources hired within each country of intervention (for a total of 2,560 employees spread over more than 20 countries.
  • She/He ensures with her team to provide technical support on all aspects of HR management for the national teams in the countries where the organization operates.
  • She/He is responsible for recruiting and leading the National HR department, made up of 6 people under her/his direct responsibility.
  • She/He also monitors developments in the Homère field HR management software, and maintains regular communication with the publisher.
  • She/He represents the service and the association internally with other departments, as well as externally.

At the end of these first months and as part of the HR transformation project undertaken, the position will evolve to benefit a broader scope in order to break down the management of field human resources within the organization, between nationally recruited employees and employees recruited internationally.

In this sense, the service will transform into an HR service in charge of monitoring and technical support provided to the countries of intervention in terms of human resources management (national and expatriate).

As such (non-exhaustive list and Job Profile currently being finalized):

  • She/He is in charge, with her headquarters team and field teams, of defining the strategy, policy, frameworks and procedures for field operational HR management, covering both national and expatriate employees, and ensuring their application.
  • She/he ensures efficient and qualitative implementation of field operational HR management for national and expatriate employees, as well as the management of international travel for SI employees.
  • She/he also monitors the HOMERE field HR management software, and maintains regular communication with the publisher.
  • She/he runs the entire HR department for which she/he is responsible and represents the service and the association internally and externally.
  • She/he participates in recruitment and supervises the training of field HR teams.
  • She/he is a member of the Security Management Committee, and substitute for the HR Director in the event of a crisis unit.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Initial training (bachelor’s or Master’s degree) in Human Resources management, Business School, social law or work psychology, management of humanitarian projects.
  • Significant prior experience in Human Resources Management within an NGO or association
  • Significant international experience. Preferably, you have prior field experience with a humanitarian organization.
  • Successful experience(s) in team and project management

  • Project management skills
  • Professional network development and maintenance
  • Responsiveness, adaptability, rigor, capacity for analysis and organization, priority management
  • Working in multidisciplinary and international teams
  • Essential computer skills (O365 pack)
  • Fluent in French and English (excellent level of reading, writing and speaking). Fluency in other languages ​​(Arabic, Spanish in particular) is a plus
  • Knowledge of Homer software is a plus

IF WILL OFFER YOU THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS

  • Position based at the headquarters of Solidarités International, in Clichy la Garenne (Metro Mairie de Clichy) with occasional trips to the field
  • Permanent contract, Framework status
  • Gross monthly remuneration of: €3,842 or €4,001 depending on the scale in effect at headquarters and the candidates’ experiences
  • Possibility of teleworking: 4 or 12 per month or 100% teleworking with 3 mandatory face-to-face days per month. Depending on the profile and experience of the candidates and in accordance with the Teleworking Charter in force and the manager.
  • Leave: 2.0833 CP/month and 1 day of RTT/full month of work
  • Mutual insurance (80%), restaurant tickets (60%), Île de France transport tickets (50%) covered by the association, 100% teleworking monthly package
  • Recovery days and 100% medical coverage during field trips
