Full Stack Developer at iMMAP

Background

In the context of the response to the COVID-19 pandemic, iMMAP has launched the COVID-19 Situational Analysis Project across six countries. Through Secondary Data Review, the project aims to strengthen assessment and analysis capacities in countries affected by humanitarian crises and the COVID-19 pandemic by addressing challenges in data and information comprehensiveness, consistency, and value.

As part of the project’s efforts to increase the visibility of its analysis and improve access to the insights generated, we are seeking a Full Stack Developer to support with building an online platform that displays main findings of the reports and allows the project team to update the information on a regular basis. Ideally, the platform will be built with a CMS that supports front-end elements from ReactJS and back-end with AngularJS.

Description of Duties

• Work with the UX designer to build the front-end based on the designed prototype
• Build front-end components through appealing visual design following iMMAP style guide
• Develop and manage databases and applications as required
• Test new features to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and prioritize issues with the team
• Ensure mobile responsiveness of new features
• Write comprehensive technical documentation

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or relevant field
• Experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
• Experience developing web applications
• Familiarity with common stacks
• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and frameworks (preferably React)
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages and frameworks (preferrably Angular)
• Knowledge of JSON-T, an asset
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Great attention to detail
• Knowledge of Agile project management methodologies (e.g. Scrum)
