Fundraising Manager at European Institute of Peace

Based in Brussels and active in over a dozen countries, the European Institute of Peace (www.eip.org) is an independent organisation working collaboratively with European decision-makers, the parties to the conflict, and those who represent people suffering from insecurity or at risk of violence, as well as the conflict prevention, resolution and mediation community.

The Institute receives support for its work from many official actors including the EU and states. It is seeking to broaden its resource base for a variety of reasons. One is that the Institute’s work in conflict prevention and resolution is increasingly relevant to private sector actors. There is scope for more public-private sector partnerships. The Fundraising Manager will play a vital role in opening new funding opportunities, maximizing outreach and helping the Institute to meet its ambitious programmatic and financial targets.

Reporting to the Executive Director and working in close coordination with the Senior Management Team, the Fundraising Manager will create new and strengthen existing partnerships with Foundations and other private sector actors, notably in Europe and the US, but with an attention to emerging markets and continue nurturing and developing the relationship with existing Institutional donors.

This is a great opportunity for a motivated, well organised, proactive and inspiring individual to make a measurable difference to the Institute’s ability to deliver on its strategic objectives in an historical moment where the work to find non-violent solutions to conflicts is needed more than ever.
