JOB DESCRIPTION :
Under the responsibility of the desk manager, you have operational responsibility for the entire mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Recruit, manage and supervise the training needs of the entire mission team
- Define the operational and advocacy strategy in collaboration with the coordination team, the desk manager and the volunteer executives of the mission
- Plan and monitor activities, implement corrective measures if necessary and provide technical support to your team
- Represent MdM to authorities, local stakeholders, partners, donors and the media
- Ensure the monitoring of collaboration agreements with partners, authorities and donors, seek and develop new partnerships and carry out or supervise the search for financing
- Ensure the financial management of the mission by supervising construction and budgetary monitoring and donor financing
- Develop, adapt and monitor the application of security rules and procedures and manage crisis management in the territory
- Establish and monitor the application of MdM frameworks, policies and procedures on programmatic and support aspects
- Supervise internal and donor reporting
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Contract: Fixed-term contract
Duration: 12 months
- Position to be filled from May 15, 2024
- Gross monthly salary of 3,732 euros
- 13th month equivalent paid in 2 installments – from 6 months of actual work seniority
- Expatriation bonus of 10% of gross salary per month

REQUIRED PROFILE :
- Bachelor’s degree + 5 in social sciences, political sciences, international relations, humanitarian and international cooperation or related field;
- Project management training;
- A master’s degree in public health is an asset.
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in the humanitarian sector;
- At least 5 years of experience in a management position in the humanitarian field (head of mission, operations coordinator, field coordinator, etc.);
- Experience in strategic thinking, including identifying, analyzing, problem-solving and responding to opportunities and challenges, as well as the ability to translate them into practical action plans.
- Possess strong leadership skills and a supportive management style for all staff.
- Solid experience in project planning and budget keeping; report proposal and writing;
- Experience working in an unsecured environment with responsibility for security planning, monitoring and management.
- Experience in remote and emergency or post-emergency management;
- Experience in sub-Saharan Africa is an asset.
- Skills in the use of project management tools (logical framework analysis, project cycle management, objectives and indicators, management tables, etc.)
- Skills in logistical and financial monitoring tools
- Confident and competent in using MS Office
