As a key player in Global Fundraising, you will have the unique opportunity to shape and execute digital fundraising strategies that generate crucial, unearmarked funds and grow the income for NRC so that we can support more people that are forced to flee.

You will work across multiple channels and geographies, with a special focus on expanding our fundraising efforts in Norway. In this role you will help increase our income from private individuals through innovative campaigns, marketing automation, and targeted digital marketing efforts. Your expertise will guide the development and optimization of donor-centric journeys, digital ads, and fundraising appeals, ensuring we achieve our income targets and maintain resilience in our funding streams.

What you will do

  • Drive the evolution and execution of NRC’s global private individual fundraising strategy, collaborating closely with dynamic internal teams to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Create and manage digital ads, fundraising appeals, and donor journeys to meet income targets.
  • Monitor and optimize digital campaigns, including during major events like Christmas and emergency crises.
  • Dive deep into fundraising ROI, advising on innovative investments, diversifying income streams, and creating robust financial resilience with quicker and higher returns. Utilize your analytical prowess to interpret data and craft informed, strategic recommendations for market and channel portfolios.
  • Master the intricacies of multiple jurisdictions, privacy laws, and currency exchanges, ensuring compliance and optimal fundraising practices across diverse regions.
  • Spearhead the development of annual plans and budgets. Forecast and report on income, costs, and key performance indicators, driving transparency and success.

What you will bring

  • Have 3+ years demonstrable experience of successful fundraising or sales, or marketing using digital channels so you can accelerate our digital fundraising from day one.
  • Possess a business-savvy mindset, ready to tackle challenges and seize opportunities.
  • Experience of marketing using tools like social media adverts, direct mail, email etc.
  • Bring expertise in database marketing and a keen familiarity with cutting-edge tools and systems like Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Have a knack for A/B testing, data analysis, and deriving actionable insights from analytics.
  • Demonstrate experience in forecasting and developing compelling business cases.
  • Presentation skills that allow you to captivate audiences with your ideas and strategies.
  • Ability to speak and write Norwegian and English languages.

What we offer

  • Duty station: Oslo, Norway
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Travel: 10%
  • Salary/benefits: Grade 9 on NRC’s Head Office, salary scale, with accompanying terms and conditions.
