Global HR Consultant at International Lifeline Fund

International Lifeline Fund (Lifeline) is currently seeking a virtual Global HR Consultant to work 6-8 hours a week. This consultant will be responsible for providing a broad range of HR support activities and guidance to the organization in collaboration and coordination with the Director of Finance and HR. The successful candidate will play a key role in the continued success and evolution of the organization and serve as an employee advocate and change agent for HR initiatives. They will be a trusted advisor and thought partner to staff and senior leadership team responsible for providing expertise, support and advice on key strategic decisions and initiatives.

Job Description:

  • Hiring process: responsible for candidate screening, interviewing (organize and conduct), reference and background checks, facilitate onboarding (and offboarding as needed).
  • Administer performance review program, to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
  • Assists with the development and delivery of performance improvement plans and provides support and guidance with respect to disciplinary action/terminations as needed.
  • Coordinates plans with HR Senior Team to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention, and improve organizational culture.
  • Partners with Senior leadership team to identify staffing needs to develop effective recruiting strategies to recruit top talent.
  • Analyzes and refine the company wage and salary structure and develops compensation analysis as needed in coordination with HR Senior team.
  • Drives the establishment of an in-house employee training system that addresses the company’s training needs including training needs assessment and management development.
  • Review and update current organizational policies and procedures, assist in clear policy development and documentation, and ensuring policy awareness.
  • Consults with Senior Leadership team and staff to address root causes of human resources issues and resolves employee relations issues through positive and professional mediation in coordination with Senior Leadership team.
  • Track and analyze relevant HR metrics to assist with annual goals, create reports for senior management.
  • Carry out necessary administrative duties.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree or masters in human resources management or equivalent.
  • Experience in an International setting is preferred.
  • Demonstrated insight in multiple HR disciplines, including employee relations, compensation and training/coaching staff.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR operations, labor law rules and regulations.
  • Strong detail orientation with the ability to research, analyze and organize information and data; systematic and analytical approach to addressing challenges.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate and work with senior leadership team as well as general staff.
  • Must possess strong problem solving and conflict management/resolution skills and can serve as a trusted advisor to management and staff.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and disciplinary processes.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal communication and negotiation skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated team player.
  • Good judgement and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.

Part-time: 6-8 hr/wk

Hourly Rate: $35-$40/hr
