Grant Officer Palestine At Terre des Hommes Italia

Terre des Hommes Italia (TDH IT), member of Terre des hommes International Federation, works in 21 developing countries implementing projects and activities for the benefit of more than 3 million people.

TDH IT implements relief and mid-term programmes and projects in the fields of education, primary health, protection, PSS and child rights.

Terre des Hommes Italia has worked in Palestine since 2000 with education, protection and health interventions dedicated to children. Since October 2023, TDH IT has supported emergency health interventions in Gaza in partnership with the Palestinian Medical Relief Society (PMRS).

TDH IT is working to expand its operations in Gaza to be able to answer to the big increase of humanitarian needs. The Grant Officer will be a key resource to support Palestine Delegation with donor engagement and proposal writing.

Main Responsibilities:

The Grant officer will be responsible of:

  • Assisting the Program Manager and Country Delegate in developing and writing new project proposals;
  • Conducting regular desk review of existing assessments and reports;
  • Supporting the Program Manager in drafting project reports, need assessment reports and other project documents;
  • Supporting the Program Manager in following up the local partners to collect the needed documents, information, data, etc.
  • In coordination with the Country Delegate, monitoring the opening of funds opportunities and call for proposals.

Required Profile

  • University Degree in International Development, Statistics, Social Science, or similar relevant degrees;
  • At least 2 years of professional experience with humanitarian organizations in designing, implementing, reporting, monitoring, and evaluating interventions, better if in the protection sector;
  • Proven experience in writing project proposals for the main humanitarian donors;
  • Good knowledge of the main requirements in terms of proposal development from donors like AICS, ECHO, UN agencies;.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Arabic and Italian is an asset;
  • Highly developed analytical and reporting skills;
  • Proficiency in MS Office Excel, Word processing, Power Point;
  • Previous working experience in the Middle East, better if in Palestine, is a strong asset

Salary according to experience and TDH IT salary scale.
