**Organization Background:

Collateral Repair Project (CRP) is a grassroots effort in Amman, Jordan that has provided much-needed assistance to vulnerable communities since 2006. We seek to assist those in need, foster social cohesion, offer learning opportunities, and help in building peace and reconciliation. Our services are provided regardless of background, and we currently provide assistance to people from many nationalities (e.g. Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Sudan, Yemen, Somalia).

CRP’s holistic approach involves deep community engagement, where we help individuals build resilience and heal from trauma. At our Family Resource and Community Centers, CRP provides a variety of educational, recreational, and wellness activities, which aid our community to gain skills and build community. Additionally, we provide community service and leadership opportunities for people to serve others, which has proven to be a key driver of empowerment and resilience. CRP’s greatest strengths are the deep knowledge and trust we have established with the community we serve, our commitment to community-based engagement, and our ability to develop nuanced, cost-effective, and impactful programs.

Position Description:

CRP’s Grants and Partnerships Manager serves as the organization’s grant writing and partnership outreach leader in the effort to maintain and grow CRP’s donor portfolio. A member of CRP’s leadership team who reports to the Executive Director, the incumbent will initiate and be responsible for all outreach and communication with potential grantors and partner organizations.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to translate CRP’s core program strategy into compelling and successful proposals for institutional funders. S/he will leverage excellent interpersonal and writing skills to compellingly communicate CRP’s mission, programming, and unique strengths to potential funders and achieve organizational funding goals.

The Grants and Partnerships Manager is responsible for activities including, but not limited to:

  • Leading the development of departmental strategic goals and objectives
  • Establishing, developing, and maintaining contact and relationships with current and potential partners both internationally and in Jordan.
  • Designing project proposals in coordination with relevant staff and developing proposal narratives, budgets, and MEL strategies that adhere to best practices.
  • Gathering data, information, and supporting documentation required to submit funding requests.
  • Conducting prospect research to identify new foundation, INGO, government, or other partner funding opportunities that align with the organization’s mission, initiatives, and programs.
  • Tracking and managing all proposal/reporting deadlines, submissions, and status updates.
  • Staying informed of current issues and trends in philanthropy, donor patterns, and CRP’s core sectors of work.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5-6 years of experience working with an organization in program implementation, business development, or a fundraising capacity.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills to support partner engagements and proposal development
  • Demonstrated ability to community authentically, passionately, and knowledgeably with all internal and external stakeholders and to facilitate conversations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working as a member of a diverse team **
